Getting started is often the hardest part of a rap career. After you have mentally committed yourself to doing whatever it takes for success, you have to surround yourself with certain pieces of technical equipment that will put you in the right position to achieve success. Luckily, in this day and age, technology is so advanced, you can record a solid track within the confines of your own home without the help of any major studio! That’s right. You have the power to create and record professional quality musicON YOUR OWN! Here is a list of 9 things you absolutely MUST HAVE in order to build your own homemade recording studio and get your rap career going in the right direction.
The “safe bet” for a MacBook Pro for easily-portable music production is a 15 inch MacBook Pro. The screen will be big enough, if not roomy, to work with. The screen will be big enough, if not roomy, to work with.
Check out the list below, not in any order of importance. Create a Vocal Booth In order to be taken seriously as a rap artist on any level, your music sound quality must meet a decent level. One way to directly address this issue is by creating your own in-house sound booth. The good news is that they are not as difficult or expensive to make as they seem because, guess whatif you have a small walk in closet or even a empty corner in your basement, the structure of the booth is already there! ANYONE can do it, all you have to use is a bit of creativity and your songs will sound significantly more professional. Here is a video that I thought was a very innovative and inexpensive way to set up a decent recording booth right in your house Nowadays, laptops play such an integral part of the world community that owning one has becoming a necessity. They are essential for school, business, collecting information and connecting with friends–just to name a few.
Rap is no different. Owning a laptop gives you the freedom to explore so many different options with your music to the extent that not owning one would put you at a significant disadvantage. For those of you looking, I recommend the following.
Very user friendly. Great virus protection. Compatible with Pro Tools and various other DAW software. Extremely Portable and light. A quality microphone can make or break a track for you. No matter how dope your lyrics may be, if they come out sounding scratchy or muffled, the song will not be taken seriously and your effort will be erased.
Spending big money on a microphone is always a wise choice, so if you got the dollars, I highly recommend this purchase. However, with the economy being as it is, not everyone can afford the top notch $7,000.00 mics, so here is a moderately priced one that I recommend. But, be sure to check out other options if you have the dough.
Bi-amplified design with 70 watts of distributed power for cohesive, accurate sound. 5 Inch low-frequency drivers with Kevlar cones for rich, defined lows. 1 Inch high-frequency drivers with natural solk domes and integrated waveguides for smooth, clear highs. Optimized rear ports for extended low-frequency response.
Magnetic shielding eliminates interference with other electronic wquipment 7. Let’s face it, some of us are still bustin’ out tracks in our moms basement and most of us at least have roommates or neighbors we have to stay aware of. Recording music often gets extremely loud and it is important that you do your best to keep your noise in and other noises out of your studio. Is a cheap and easy way to get this done. So, buy a few rolls of this foam and line your walls with it and before you know it, you’ll be lining the walls of your own studio instead of your mom’s old jacked up wallpaper. Anechoic wedge cut offers superior sound absorption.
Effectively reduce standing waves and flutter echoes. Won’t crumble with age. Absorbs up to 60% better than other brands with an NRC of.80. Class B Fire Rating 8. DAW stands for “Digital Audio Workstation” and it is the essential software that recording artists and producers use for their music. It is absolutely crucial to creating a quality song and the best part is, with practice, it is relatively easy to use. “But what about those big mixing consoles???”– no need for ‘em–at least for the moment being!
After you buy the DAW software of your choice, simply install it into your computer and you have almost all that you need as a recording artist right on the screen in front of you. That’s right. All the beats you hear on were created straight from a laptop screen using DAW software called “ This program is highly recommended, but feel free to shop around for other programs that fit to your liking. This is an essential part of your home studio, so make sure you get this software up and running before you record any tracks. Once this in house studio project is completed and you have installed all the necessary pieces to get it up and running, you will need some beats to work with!
Make sure to check out the here on Jee Juh, pick one out you like, and lay down some vocals on it with your new equipment! It ain’t the quality of the studio, it’s the quality of the artist so don’t worry too much about having the greatest facility in the world.that will come later!
Try putting together these 9 suggestions and I think you will surprise yourself with the quality of music you can create. If you want good audioyou need a computer which is most stable.
A desktop, and not a standard powersupply, now only seasonic offers the best quality and not APPLE And don’t have the illusion that mac offers a great powersupply.a laptop is also very tidy build with everything close together and onboard firewire/usb controller.noise+20%. Then you buy an expensive motherboard and check the components, cause there are no good onboard usb/fire controllers. Everything has to be watercooled:warmth=noise the psu gets also shielded against emi and your watercool pump+reservoir get connected to the outside of your full metall, grounded case. The standard connectorcables will be replaced bij shielded cables and every connector pin you may solder (on the right length) and that takes a lot of time. The atx cables gets seperated from eachother(don’t forget that your pc is designed by giving for example your 8 core processor swithed powersupply from many amperes, so that’s a lot of interference. Buy an expinsive fancontrol for your PWM-fans And buy a seperate usb or firewire pci-x card with an extra power connector And you can solder and cut for two hours again. Don’t use a normal dvd-drive.
Cheap shit and goog ones are hard to get.but you buy one for 200euro. At the end you have my desktop pc and will set you back 5000euro, but then you still have to buy a second hnd powerconditioner.700euro. And only this is the right way to start. Allways make your cables yourself People which say that cheap cables are also good talk bullcrap The best way offcourse is that you let them make for you by someone like me. It takes quite a lot a math to do it right. And you doný buy good audio-interfces for less then 750 euro’s. Not that cheap focusrite nonsence or so.
Crappy budget stuff And please build a little space in a room which vocally makes any sence. The which wrote this ain’t no pro. Why buy a 650 dollar mic when the rest is crap. Including m-audio monitors.
He’s a salesman. He doesn’t even know what’s inside the macbookpro.and in a studio you don’t need an laptop. Why spening 2000dollar on a laptop while recording???? A desktop has sooo many advantages and everybody complaining and discussing why they have latencyon their 200dollar ‘studio-audio-interface’. Well the answer is.200 dollar ain’t enough.
And your laptop/desktop sucks.win or mac, cause you have no brains a haven’t thought about the fct that you computer is a piece of shit for real recording. Luckily has intel/microsoft made a good tab, so the audio industry has no choice to finnaly use usb 3.0 and alll those nice mixers, like the zed serie.with their new mixer with USB1.1, only because they then have to write the drivers them selves, will be replaced by normal standards.cause they use these days usb 2.0 high speed, and the problem is that they don’t use a constant powersouurce. How can you use a usb 2.0port for fast datatransfer and poweruse— impossible. Just tested the tascam us-366 for a site.
Budget thingcollapse totally at 60% of output, just like presonus and focusrite.and NI-a6 m-audio all.except the rack ones Bot a good powersupply will cost 50euro’s and an powersupply on a second usb 2 bus is tricky on a normal laptop.cause they all come together on a onboard hub.and they suck, also when you have an apple. So the unit doesn’t gets enough power.distortion.dropouts.large latency’s(which they allready have). It’s a huge rip off rockersrule.

— January 2018. In 2009, Apple produced the Mac Pros with only Quad-Core processors (single processor quad-core and dual processor 8-core). In 2010, Apple started producing the 6-core and 12-core Mac Pros using the 6-Core processors (single processor 6-core and dual processor 12-core). Thus, in 2010, Apple updated the architecture of the dual processor board to work with the dual 6-core processors since they are physically different. For the 6-core, going with the 2009 is perfectly fine because the architecture of the 2009-2012 6-cores are 100% identical.
The only physical differences between the 2009 and 2010 6-core are:. 2010 comes standard with an Airport Extreme Wireless card while it's an additional option on the 2009.
2010 comes with an ATI 5770 1GB graphics card while the 2009 comes with an NVIDIA 512MB. For the 12-core, we recommend going with the 2010 genuine 5,1 since there is an architectural difference between the 2009 and 2010+. The 2009 12-cores function perfectly fine; however, the 2010+ 12-cores are more architecturally solid. Some of Our Marvelous Customers. About Us iBuildMacs, Inc.
